“Anxiety is extremely contagious…but so is cal “Anxiety is extremely contagious…but so is calm.” (Harriet Lerner)

How about practicing some calm with me, and see it’s saving grace. 🤍

Set a timer for 2 minutes, find a comfortable seat, close your eyes and try repeating this prayer as you breathe.

With each exhale, feel your body relax into the truth that you are held by a God who loves you fiercely.

Try letting go of worry and anxiety and trust the flow of God’s grace to fill your lungs & carry you forward.

I practice this breath prayer almost daily whenever I feel anxiety tightening my chest. Waiting for God instead of depending on me - saves me every time. Maybe it will for you too☺️

Let’s cultivate some calm together for Guidepost #8 in our yoga series on ZOOM - Join us TUESDAY 3/9 ~ 6a-635a (link in bio!)
I’m sorry I have to cancel this week! 😢 But I I’m sorry I have to cancel this week! 😢 But I pray it gives you the chance for a little extra sleep 😴 💕 And maybe you can be intentional about some play time!

I loved how last week’s guidepost encouraged us to think of what conditions are in place when life is good. Brené Brown calls this her “joy and meaning list.” She wrote one with her family because it helps her LIVE the dream instead of GET LOST in chasing it.

What’s on your list!? Mine includes down-time, creative time, outside time, naps, singing to music in the car, dance parties in the kitchen, drawing with the kiddos, telling funny stories, dinners around the table, walks, laughing and time to be with people I love. Oh and of course good coffee and yoga!

PLAY, it will help!! (+ NO YOGA next week) The fa PLAY, it will help!! (+ NO YOGA next week)

The fam and I have experienced some pandemic-fatigue in our house, so this week's class could not have been more timely!

I was reminded that PLAY is a remedy to worn out hearts. As parents, we know play is good for our kids so we can trust God, when He says it's good for us too!

We tried it! We played on our mats yesterday & it felt like a little joy-boost to my heart.

Read along for some other ideas or get a video of class! Blessings (LINK IN BIO!)
Do you need to create? Believe it or not, the ans Do you need to create?

Believe it or not, the answer is yes.

When we stop creating, something within us is "neglected to death."

It makes sense because we've been made in the image of The Creator. The One who after creating life as we know it paused to say: Behold it is good."

Come read along, and learn with me from Brene Brown's research as to why it's good to create! And discover what may be stopping you!

Also enjoy a yoga class designed to cultivate creativity on and off your mat:)

Want to join for a live class? Catch us next Tuesday 2/23 on Zoom at 6a (link in bio)
When faced with uncertainty and imperfections, we When faced with uncertainty and imperfections, we are quick to wall up instead of lean in.

Last Tue. in yoga class, we looked at how intuition and faith help us thrive, regardless of our circumstances. ☺️

Intuition is our inner wisdom and faith is our ability to let go of fear, and trust in what we cannot see. We don't have to let our craving for certainty silence our intuition or make us question our faith!

How are you? I mean all of you? What if you we How are you?

I mean all of you?

What if you were to access all your ways of knowing to answer this question? Responding with your heart, your mind & your body while listening to your soul?

So often I limit myself to one way of knowing…and I’m grateful for the practice of yoga that allows me to integrate heart, mind and body on my mat.

Come join us tomorrow 6a-640a on ZOOM! (LINK IN BIO!)

Invite God to speak to you in a holistic way, and allow your connection to yourself and God lead you to whole-hearted living on and OFF your mat.

I hope you found joy today, that twinkled and held I hope you found joy today, that twinkled and held its light, even as you encountered moments of darkness.

Joy is a place you can live from. You don’t have to wait to find it.

It is happiness that waits for the right circumstances whereas joy acknowledges the face of God in all circumstances.

This isn’t easy and takes courage, but I pray today that you can plant your feet in the flow of God’s grace, and receive joy thay holds both your grief and your delight, your gratitude and your sorrow.

Let’s practice leaning into the vulnerability of joy, together! Listen along to a FREE 6 minute guided Scripture meditation + prayer practice in this week’s newsletter (LINK IN BIO).

There is always a space for YOU at zoom yoga, Tuesdays 6a-635a! 🧘‍♀️

Or if you’d like to come along...but can’t make yoga, SIGN UP for my weekly newsletter and receive some encouragement, a pause for reflection, Scripture and a simple prayer right to your inbox 🤍 📥

In week 3 of our yoga series, I couldn’t believe In week 3 of our yoga series, I couldn’t believe that the origin of resilience (or a person's ability to bounce back)….is attributed to spirit.

Brene Brown found that the most resilient people all shared deeply inspiring stories of spirit.

This resonates with my own experience, because as we live in Christ, we have the Spirit of Christ within us. A Spirit that liberates, frees, loves and hopes. It's a Spirit of resilience!

What does it look like to both stoke and protect the flame of resilience in your heart, today?

For me, protecting looks like community, discernment and the courage to lean into my vulnerabilities and resist numbing.

And to stoke the flame, I seek ways to turn inward… like solitude, walks, meditation, God’s Word, prayer and yoga!

I pray you can both protect and stoke your Spirit of resilience today.

YOU’RE INVITED! Join us TOMORROW for Guidepost #4 in Zoom Yoga! (Link in Bio)

If you are like me, it’s hardest to be kind towa If you are like me, it’s hardest to be kind towards my own mistakes.

...and that's thanks to perfectionism.

Perfectionism says, "if I'm perfect I'll avoid all feelings of pain, shame and judgment."

But the truth is... pain, shame and mistakes are all part of the human condition, so what do we do?

What if we lay down the lie that we can be perfect, and pick up the truth that the One who is perfect offers His yoke to support & guide us.

If Jesus can look at our imperfections with compassion, then so can we.
