🧘‍♀️ I first discovered these as a requirement for my Holy Yoga Teacher training. My kids were tiny and it seemed impossible to find a moment alone... (Swipe right for a peek at what those days looked like!)

But I’ll never forget the first time I pushed play and discovered these meditations as huge answer to prayer!

.

Instead of feeling guilty that I couldn’t find the time to squeeze God in, I was reminded that God was waiting to squeeze into my day. I only needed to open the ears of my heart and mind.
.

With each mediation, you will hear a reading of Scripture accompanied by questions for reflection that allow you to examine yourself, listen to God and follow His movement in your life.
.

I would pop in my headphones while pushing the stroller, unloading the dishwasher or driving or even sometimes hiding in the bathroom 🤣 and connect with God right smack-dab in the middle of my day.

I think when we take the time to pause and reflect on what we are grateful for, there is a shift in our hearts and minds from what we need to do and fix to what God’s already doing for us. .

A time to pray... This month feels extra intense

A time to pray...

This month feels extra intense as we approach the upcoming election. Emotions are high, people are on edge & the ground feels unsteady as we approach an unknown future.

When I want to feel steady, I find myself praying. It's not perfect, I can't always find the right words, but almost always, I notice a change in me.

And I wonder if that’s exactly what God is offering!?

Where we want change outside, He wants change inside.

Do you feel like it’s hard to squeeze in time for God?

I know I do!

But as my feelings of frustration begin to rise, I realize I am the one putting pressure on myself, not God.

I may be trying to squeeze Him in, but in truth He is constantly making moves to squeeze into my day, if I will just notice.

I don’t know about you, but the state of our cul

I don’t know about you, but the state of our cultural climate is pushing me to constrict, close-off and I feel a deep need to protect. I think some of this is needed, but I also know if I let myself harden completely, I will block everything, including the flow of God’s Spirit, moving in and through me. ✨

This week in yoga I invited us to meditate on a verse that is short, simple and has become a life-line for me:

“Be still and know that I am God.” (Psalm 46:10).
.
.

In stillness, we can step into God’s presence and allow His grace to cover & propel us forward. I wrote a short reflection that I wanted to share. I pray it will help open your heart to the truth that God wants to move in close. Can we let go of our grip long enough to let Him in?
